Quintessential Seattle Wedding

Writer's picture: Raimy PhotographyRaimy Photography

When I say quintessential Seattle wedding, I'm mainly pointing out how very Seattle the weather was on M+A's day. A light drizzle droned throughout the gorgeous overcast November day- making for incredibly soft outdoor lighting and sparkling umbrellas. One of the most notable and wonderful characteristics of pacific northwest bride's is often brought to light on rainy days. That characteristic is resilience! Megan was a shining example of that resilience- not just powering through but fully embracing the cold November weather and braving Kerry Park so that we could capture the unforgettable Seattle skyline in the background of their bride and groom and wedding party portraits. Embracing the wedding day as it is is truly one of the best ways to ensure that authentic and joyful moments are captured! The twists in a wedding day, either expected or unexpected, often lead to the most vivid and lasting memories. So you might as well make the most of them, for the camera's sake at least!

M+A had a truly blessed day! Surrounded by their family and friends, they wed at St. Anne's Church. Soon after, traveled a short distance to Kerry Park for some outdoor photos, and finished off the night with an lively reception at Fremont Abbey.
